Fitness programs and routines can be found anywhere, but T.E.A.M University takes it to the next level through expert level coaching, support, and motivation between members while creating a fitness community that is unmatched by any other gym. We strive to help you reach YOUR potential, at every level, from beginner to competitor. Our certified trainers encourage members to push themselves, but also ensure that they’re using proper form to maximize their training while being safe. Be prepared to work hard, make friends and change from the inside out!

R.J. Lee, III

RJ has been involved in athletics from the time he could walk! He has been practicing martial arts since the age of 2 years old and grew playing a variety of sports all the way through high school. He began training in CrossFit in 2012 after his sister Marilyn, Co-Owner of T.E.A.M. University said they should give it a try.Instantly he loved the intensity of the workouts, but more importantly, the community won him over. He used CrossFit as a way to expand his knowledge in the fitness world and help improve his overall ability to excel in other activities he is involved in.

RJ has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland in Criminal Justice. He also holds a 5th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and Co-Owns the Black Belt Martial Arts Center with his sister Marilyn. When RJ is not working or training he enjoys spending time with his family, friends and English Bulldog, McNulty. He is an ice hockey player, motorcyclist and huge sports fan!

Marilyn Lee

Marilyn is very passionate about health and fitness whether for herself or helping other athletes achieve their health and fitness goals. While she loves the physical aspect of achieving your goals, she really enjoys the daily healthy habits that go hand in hand with working out.

She’s been a runner for years but took up CrossFit about 6 years ago. CrossFit has had such a positive impact on her running and she loves to mix the two.
Marilyn graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s Degree and went on to complete her Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkin’s University. When Marilyn isn’t chasing after her daughter, ‘pounding the pavement’, or lifting a barbell, she enjoys spending quiet time at home with her family.

Allycia Joseph

However, the life of a teacher can be really exhausting. Allycia always wanted to be the strong woman with the muscles but, she had a hard time staying committed to the gym. So a friend told her to try CrossFit in 2013 as a way to help ease her stress. She took her up on that offer and has never looked back. The CrossFit community solved that problem for her as she quickly began to call other members of the box her family and the box became her hangout. After setting and reaching many goals in CrossFit, the confidence and strength she gained spilled over into other aspects of her life. Now she wants to help other people reach their own fitness and life goals and is excited to join T.E.A.M. University.
Sergio Maldonaldo

After starting CrossFit in 2013, Sergio was hooked. He loved the high intensity and varied combinations of weightlifting, gymnastics and cardio. Ever since that day, he has seen many positive changes in his quality of life and knew he wanted to share his love of CrossFit with others.

Alongside getting his Level 1 certification from CrossFit, he also graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in Exercise Science in 2016. With his knowledge base and background in fitness, he looks forward to many years of encouraging others and bettering the lives of the community at T.E.A.M. University.

Trina Kerns

Favorite Indulgence: Creme Brulee
Trina has been in the fitness industry for over 10 years working with individuals and groups. Her passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals stemmed from her own experience as an overweight individual and sedentary young adult. She was able to change her nutrition and exercise habits to lose and successfully keep off 75lbs. Outside of the gym, Trina enjoys being active with her husband and 3 teenage boys! Trina also runs our Mighty Masters program which serves adults 50 and over who are looking for a specialized small group training environment. She is excited to help all athletes at T.E.A.M. University.

Her credentials are: CF-L1, NASM CPT
